so there is this indian guy at work .. his name is kabeer .. me and this other guy were talking to him today .. we asked him are you married .. he said yes .. we asked him do you have kids .. he said one .. we asked him is it a boy or a girl .. he said a boy .. we asked him what is his name .. he said ahmad yaseen .. i was like wait his name is ahmad yaseen .. he said yes .. i asked him did you name him after the shaikh who died in palestine .. he said yes .. it was all i could do not to hug him ..

doctor phil moment
i saw this video on youtube today ... i won't tell you what it was ... but the last time i saw that footage i was in maybe second or third grade ... something like that ... anyway ... it evoked some strong emotions in me and the next thing i knew i was crying ... i didn't like break down and start sobbing ... but there were tears ... i think i miss being a little boy ...

remember dina ... she is my brother's daughter ... she is almost five months old now ... i've only been able to see her once since she was born ... but my family sends me emails with photos of her on a regular basis ... i thought i would share one with you guys ...

slice of life
i was at the gas station earlier today ... sitting in my car listening to the music while the car filled up ... when a man pulled up in his car and popped his trunk ... he started calling the workers over and handing them plastic bags ... as i watched i could see that there was meat inside those bags ... apparently he'd just had a ذبيحة and was distributing parts of it to the less fortunate ... it was a very moving scene ... as more workers realized what was going on they approached him to get their own bag ... but by then the man had already gotten back in the car and was getting ready to leave ... but upon seeing them he got back out and opened the trunk again and handed them their bags ...

Visitors to Mildred's Temple Kitchen, a restaurant in Toronto, Canada, are invited to spice up their love life this Valentine's Day with a trip to the bathroom.
"Have you given any thought to moving beyond the bedroom?" patrons were asked in a not-too-subtle promotional e-mail.
The individual bathrooms will be open for sexual escapades from the 12-15th February. According to the manager, Rory Gallagher, a french maid will be working the toilets, making sure everything is "going smoothly and kept clean."
"We've always had little trysts in our bathrooms," co-owner Donna Dooher told The Toronto Star. "We're taking it to the next level on Valentine's weekend." She added that customers are expected to bring their own condoms.
Perhaps surprisingly, Toronto's Public Health food safety program manager said the restaurant wasn't breaking any laws as long as there's no intercourse in the kitchen and the bathrooms are kept clean.
"As far as bodily fluids, it's pretty much similar to the other human functions going on in there," said Chan, slightly undercutting the erotic value of the venture.

read a sad story about a domestic worker committing suicide in lebanon ... not an uncommon thing over there apparently ... it happened in sanaye3 ... that was close to where i used to live ... there was a park ... anyway ... this is just another reason why arabs suck right now ... we treat our domestic workers like slaves ... remember those commercials that used to come on tv ... about treating your domestic workers like human beings ... they used to break my heart ... they stopped showing them though ...
