makes no sense

how is an anti-nuclear arms treaty harmful to peace efforts ... i did find some comfort in the reader comments which mostly agree with me ...

Arabs must always send a positive message to the Israelis...insisting on the treaty is negative for the Israelis and might rub them the wrong way, as if there was a right way, and consequently it might have a negative impact on the peace talks..fhemit hala2?

Imagine if Abbas were to tell the Israelis to go beep themselves and declare war against them?? WOuldn't that be a blast??

well i understand why he doesnt want the arabs to push for the treaty but the rationale just doesnt make sense .. he should just say we dont want arabs to push for the treaty because god forbid israel might get upset .. but to say it harms peace efforts is ridiculous ..
