Naji's work moves me to the point of tears..so there is no comparison whatsoever..she just sketches in black and white and that's as close to Naji as she gets.
About this particular cartoon..I don't think that kids think or feel the same way as we, adults, do. Speaking of marriage at that age seems to me inappropriate and not in the least innocent! On the contrary it is the very opposite of innocense!!
When I was little I had a bo3bo3 called "boys" I hated them like the devil himself. Boys pushed me and stole my food and I was not strong enough to stand up to them so I just surrendered and avoided them, hid actually, as well as I could.
That went on until I became a teenager, only then the whole "boy" concept changed.
playground crush .. u know like boy likes girl or vice versa but in an innocent child way before the hormones start kicking in .. like playing house or whatever
