the gift
so my boss should be coming back tomorrow ... freshly married ... i decided what i'm going to get him as a gift ... i was going to get him cigars like noura suggested but i changed my mind ... also i decided chocolates are a bad idea because i'm afraid they'll melt or something ... so i'll just get him something for his office ... one of those desk sets ...

la2 ya mohammad, desk set mish 7elweh !! Cigars are better, they will come handy when he is no longer "freshly married" and in need to huff and puff hahahaha
but i dont know whats a good cigar or what kind he likes if he likes cigars aslan .. plus i have a feeling the good ones will be too expensive :o

btw u know the desk set in the picture addaish 7a2ha .. its for 1300 pounds .. obviously im not getting him that exact set its just a picture i found on google images .. im leaving now to buy the gift .. still not sure if cigars or desk set o_0

I don't know the desk set seems to be cold, bas i didn't know they can be this expensive. For this amount of money you can give him a gift certificate to a spa or something where he can go with his wife for a day of pampering..fee spas b saudia ??

I asked the girls here and they say give him a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant where he can enjoy a romantic dinner with his wife.
It's hard to shop for men. SO what did you get him?? I do hate that office set.

i got him a box of cubans from this place called "la casa cubana" .. 3ashan tinbisit noura :p they werent cheap either .. 475 riyals .. ya3ni almost 125 bucks .. hala2 kan 3indo ashya2 aghla of course but i told him 500 is the maximum ..
btw hes coming tomorrow .. the gift is in my desk at the office still undelivered 0_0
I think it's in poor taste to give someone a gift that is hazardous to their health. Besides cigar smell like..well very very bad and I detest those who smoke them.
But anyways..hope he likes his "gift"!
I love the spa + restaurant idea :)
maybe but its socially acceptable .. people give wine or scotch as a gift and cigars are no different
I always found it weird that in Western culture, when someone has a baby, the men hand out cigars amongst themselves. So yeah, while it might not be the healthiest thing to do, it is socially accepted to give cigars as gifts.
well i got the gift so its a moot point now .. but spa for him and his wife .. awal shi i dont even know if they have spas here in riyadh .. and even if they did i imagine that would be one expensive gift .. ino the guy is my boss .. hes not my friend or anything .. lets not get too carried away lol
