I don't like the title of the article and I cannot help but smell racism and hatred behind it. It's not objective to say the least. If the mentioned garments were produced by Victoria's secret the reaction would have been different..favoring and praising the garments rather than making fun, and there ARE edible underwear in the western market, but perhaps for them it's fun while for us it's perversion.

pru .. i agree with u that the article does have an "orientalist" tone to it and the title is not very politically correct .. but the article never claimed that syrians invented those garments either .. all i said was i found it amusing i didnt say it was a good article :p .. and i did say it was pointless as well.
