Axis of Boredom

i sometimes write about how boring life in riyadh tends to be ...
well let me give you an idea just how dead this city is ... ahmed ahmed is coming to town to perform and everyone is excited about it ... i mean really excited about it ... i've been getting numerous facebook invitations to attend and people i don't usually talk to are popping up on msn at work to tell me about the event just as an fyi ... i had no idea who he was but apparently he's part of the 'axis of evil' comedy group ... i've seen their act before and it's not bad ... not great but not bad either ... i mean they're not my favorite stand-up comics but they're ok ... they're smart though ... touring the arab world and making money off it ... i remember they went to jordan before and my friend who works for play fm posted this album on facebook of her hanging out with them backstage ... like we're supposed to be jealous or something ...
anyway i don't know if i'll go ... but if i do it'll only be because practically everyone i know is going ... not because i want to go see mr. ahmed perform ... does that make me a follower ...
although the price of one ticket is equivalent to the price of one ps3 game ... hmmm ... opportunity cost ...
meanwhile ... my older brother's coming to town this friday and staying for a week ... it's a business trip ... so that should be fun ... i guess ... we can paint the town red ... yeah right ...

Hey! they are funny, ok ahmed ahmed is not that funny, but the irani guy is hilarious and aaron kader is funny, I didn't watch their show but I went to this comedy auditions thing and aaron kader was there and your little friend maha was there ugh (she tried to do a stand up but it was a bit lame cause she wasn't prepared).
Yeah don't get me started about Maha; it's a long story but let's just say it involves me singing live to win tickets (which I did sing) then I totally did not get my tickets (they were lame tickets but still)and she got me all excited for nothing and I had to get bullied by my friends for days they were like oh suha is play's reject, oh suha maha totally punk'd your ass, anyways last I heard she doesn't work for play anymore.
lol I know I'm too bored bas heek I'm just venting
