it's so hot that the other day i forgot my lighter in the car ... after work i got in the car and noticed a strong gasoline odor ... i thought maybe my car is leaking ... but no the gauge is showing a full tank ... i got out of the car ... i smelled the air ... nothing ... i got down and checked underneath the car for any leakage ... nothing ... i got back in the car ... there's that odor again ... i glanced at the passenger seat and there was my lighter ... completely empty ...
aha ... the heat had caused the gas inside the lighter to evaporate ... which might explain why the label on the lighter warns you keep away from flame and temperature above 55 C or to the direct sunlight ... thank God the thing didn't explode ...
the thing is i take my cigarette breaks in the car ... you can't smoke inside the building and it's not very nice to smoke outside because of the heat ... so i usually smoke in my car ... where i can listen to music and turn on the air conditioning ...
moral of the story ... don't leave your lighter in the car ...

LOL wow I feel better now about the weather here :P
Another moral of the story: QUIT SMOKING :D
You smoke ?? cigar, pipe ??
It's dry heat though in Riyadh, right ?? unlike dhahran which is more like florida with high level of humidity..It is hot, humid plus rain at this time here which makes life miserable..
people here smoke outside,if u take a walk around noon you see groups of smokers in front of all buildings huffing and puffing ...
like Hala said, quit smoking :)
hala .. ya u should :D
another moral .. NEVER :p
well id like to but i dont see it happening .. im not a heavy smoker btw .. on average u could say i smoke around ten cigs a day.
noura .. yup dry INTENSE heat .. dhahran does have humidity as does jeddah .. but seeing as how there are no bodies of water near riyadh .. you just get scorched :-/
like i told hala .. id like to .. i just dont see it happening :-|
