Walid Jumblatt called for the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador, Mohammad Reda Shibani, and "a ban on the arrival of Iranian planes to Beirut because, maybe, they carry money and weapons" for Hezbollah. Jumblatt also demanded that chief of airport security, General Wafik Shqeir, be fired because of his alleged links to the Shiite opposition group.
He said that he is disclosing this information "before people march in my funeral or that of Saad Hariri."

Hezbollah responded by calling Jumblatt 'a propagandist who repeats George Bush's claims and State Department reports'.
