Memories

i found a great site that contains photo sets of beirut ... there was one set that i really liked in particular ... it features photos of graffiti and posters ...

this one i actually remembered ... i still remember that "fadi mounira" tag ... there is a store next to american dream where i used to buy cds from time to time ...
and there is this one which was taken on makdissi street ... that was my street ... and the parking lot in the photo is literally a few seconds away from where i lived ...
and this one as well ... i still remember that dog in the picture ... there is a store next to that garage called ghali copy center ... it was famous for selling photocopied textbooks and solution manuals ...
this one i blogged about a while back ... it was sprayed on that wall after i left beirut ... i know because i used to walk past that wall several times a day ... i would either be on my way to campus or on my way back home ...

here are some more nice ones ...
beirut doesn't die
arab dreams
gemmayzeh bomb
faces
haifa for president
gemmayzeh cat
amal posters

check out the rest of the photos in the set here ...
and if you are interested ... there is a set of photos of cats hanging out at AUB here ...

this is another nice website i found ... i recognized a few of the photos ... this and this and this ... they are on the same wall that i mentioned earlier ...

Nice, nice. I like the 'Beirut Ma Betmoot' slogan. I would love to visit Lebanon, it is beautiful!

So you only lived there during your college years?
