popping the question ... do you ever think about it?
how are you going to propose to your girl ... are you gonna get down on one knee ... or maybe via jumbotron ... personally i never really thought about it much ... i guess i need to find her first ... then i can start plotting and scheming ... and why does the man have to be the one who proposes ... but i digress ... anyway ... this guy thought of an unusual way to propose ...

We're from a totally different culture. Usually the question is popped with a considerable number of family members around. The girl then is consulted by her folks :p
I don't think the technique matters when one is proposing. A direct approach that would not embarrasse the girl or overwhelm her is preferable in cases where she's not expecting a proposal! Other than that, it does not matter.
ya im aware .. but i always imagined i would find the girl and not have someone find her for me .. i also imagined that i would ask her to marry me before doing the whole jaha and "nishrab ahwe" thing .. note that i am using the words "i imagine" .. which means these are all dreams in my head .. i wouldn't be surprised if reality played out differently.

Ok perhaps I've lost touch with my romantic side..but it's only after i've seen many "love" stories end very badly that I stopped believing in love altogether!
The technique of proposing is not fundemental to the proposal, ya3ni if the guy is all wrong then he could hire an airplane to write "marry me" in the sky and the answer would still be..ummm NO :p efhemet asdi??
If you want to be romantic and you KNOW you're good for the girl, then you can buy her a dozen red roses and invite her to a very nice place and propose in style. Her answer should of course be , go see my father :p
