Making Kittens

there is a saying in arabic ... مثل القطاط في شباط ... which literally means like cats during february ... it is a reference to the idea that cats tend to mate during february ... well today is april the second i.e. it's not february ...

now i usually go for a jog everyday ... ok it's not really a jog ... it's a walk ... but a long walk ... just me and my iPod ...

so anyway i went walking today ... and while i was walking i saw a couple of cats doing it ... they were doing it in the middle of the street ... i mean literally ... they were right on one of those white stripes that divide the street into two lanes ... i'd never seen cats doing it before ... although i saw a couple of frogs doing it once ...

anyway here's what i learned ... cats are decent animals ... they don't like to be watched ... they not only stopped as i walked by ... the male even dismounted and ran off almost as if he were ashamed for getting caught ... the female however didn't budge ... instead she just lay there pretending to be innocent ...
