well it's been two months since that fateful day ... february 25 ... the day i quit my job ...
am i happy ... no ... the reason being that i haven't found a new job yet ... but then again, i wasn't happy when i was working ... so not like i miss my old job ... although i do miss my salary ... but again, the salary was not that special either ... i mean it was good but they were making me earn every penny of that shit ... anyway the point is i hated my job and i don't regret quitting ... i just hate being unemployed ...
yeah yeah i know ... i sound like a 'fox and the grapes' don't i ... but it's true, i really was miserable at my old job ... oh well, water under the bridge ... although occasionally i start thinking and i say to myself ... i shouldn't have quit until i had another job ready ... and then i start getting upset because i could have planned things better ... and i realize that i wasn't thinking at the time ... i was letting my emotions control me ... fuck it ... like i said, water under the bridge ... you live and learn ...
so to reiterate ... it's been two months now ... in the beginning i didn't mind ... i was happy to finally have some time off ... after a year of working six days a week ten hours a day in a stressful atmosphere, it was nice to finally have a vacation ... but now it's like that song by fairuz ... da2 5il2i ya sabi, min hal jaw il 3asabi ...
i've applied to dozens of positions on recruitment websites ... i've even taken the initiative and sent out unsolicited emails offering my services ... so far i've managed to score two interviews ... i think it's safe to say that the first interview was a swing and a miss ... however the second one is still undetermined ... i mean they told me they were interested and that they would try to find a position for me but they still haven't contacted me ... i think i will call them tomorrow ... actually there was a third interview ... this guy called me and interviewed me on the phone ... anyway he wanted someone with experience in the advertising industry and i don't have any so end of story ... you'd think he could've gotten that from my resume but apparently he needed to hear it from me in person ... asshole ...
anyway ... like tupac says "i know you're fed up, but baby keep your head up" ... so that's the attitude i'm trying to maintain ... although there are days when it does get to me ... but i'm trying to stay positive ... like bon jovi says "you got to keep the faith" ... and like they say "the third time's a charm" ... so hopefully the third month will be the one.
nshala.

GOOD LUCK :)
I hope you get the call and inshallah it will have some good news :)
I have a question to ask..I decided to go ahead and buy the wii..the guy is trying to sell me a whole lot of things and am clueless..so don't laugh at the lack of right terminology..are the "numchuks" needed?? and something that connect the console to the modem/internet?
Forgive for imposing on you, but I don't want to buy it and carry it all the way home with something missing..
thank you so much :)
hi noura, thanks :)
as for the wii i dont know much about it sara7a .. i assume u got it as a gift for someone right?
anyway lets see the modem thing clearly that is for online play so i wouldnt recommend buying it unless the person ur getting it for has a really highspeed connection (which dont exist in lebanon as far as i know) ..
if i were u id just get the console and a few games .. maybe a couple extra controllers so they can play multiplayer .. other than that the person getting the gift can determine what accessories they want like steering wheels or whatever and buy them on their own later.
yeah, you remember I posted that I wanted to buy it..
Ok, you're right about the internet, I didn't think about it..then I'll get an extra controller and another game because one came with it as a bundle, a nice game of sports, baseball, tennis, bowling..I thought it would be appealing to kids..
I was doing some "research" :D and what is called numchuks are used to play gamecube games on wii, then u hook to the controller..so those are not needed..
THANK YOU SO MUCH.. ra7 ed3eelak double hala2 :D
