My First Corporate Function
our company had their annual iftar today .. let me start by saying the food was terrible .. absolutely terrible .. the station manager was the mc of the event naturally .. he talked a little bit .. at one point he asked everyone who was hired this year to stand up .. then he asked us all to come on stage .. and he went up to each guy and told him to say his name and what department he works in .. so that was kind of embarrassing .. then he talked some more .. they handed out some service awards .. then they had a little raffle .. there were a lot of prizes .. most of them were crap .. things like clocks and dustbusters .. even a chess set .. but there was a 21 inch tv and a dvd player among the prizes .. i didn't win anything .. then they took a group photo at the end .. and they all lived happily ever after ..

Were any infiels there? Oh right: You don't allow infidels.
AH HA HA-"were there any infidels there?" That's got to be one of the most IGNORANT statements I've heard out of dogface's mouth yet.
I guess he doesn't know how many American expats live in KSA and WORK there WITH Saudis and others from ALL around the world or how many businesses in KSA are joint ventures with foreign companies from ALL over the world with their employees working side by side. Lord have mercy he is STUPID!!
Mo, those little round donut thingies are called ga'mat. Save some for me:)if you go to a REAL iftar (without dustbusters LOL) and they are served PLEASE.
Greetings to KSA from SoCAL!
Not in Mecca or Medina, where infidels are forbidden.
Are infidels also forbidden where you live, Robin?
And how do you like this?
Question : Is it haram (forbidden) to have iftar ( A meal served at the end of the day during Ramadan, to break the day's fast) with non muslims like hindu,christian.etc...?.
Answer : It is permissible to have iftaar with non-Muslims if there is a shar’i reason for doing so, such as calling them to the true religion, or softening their hearts towards Islam, etc, which are what is hoped for if they come and eat iftaar at the tables set up for communal iftaar, as happens in some countries.
But if it is done just to be friendly towards them and enjoy their company, this is a dangerous matter, because the principle of al-wala' wa'l-bara' (befriending the believers and showing enmity towards the disbelievers) is one of the basic principles of Islam, and one of the most important duties of the believers...

Repeat after me, Robin:
