Who's The Boss

my boss left almost a week ago .. a new guy came to fill in .. the whole thing was kind of insulting .. i was offended to be honest .. that someone was coming in to "monitor" us .. he is a fucking corporate spy .. lol i know i'm being melodramatic here but bear with me ..

basically he is a corporate spy .. cuz he's damn sure not that knowledgeable or experienced .. but because our region's team is having the most trouble and even our boss is in some hot water so they sent someone in to spy on us .. that's how i see it .. and what supports my theory is that this guy is coming from jeddah .. and who is the manager of the western region .. the same guy who happens to be the project manager .. so this guy is his eyes and ears basically .. according to what my boss told me the guy didn't want to come but who knows if that's true and who cares anyway.

but you know what makes it more insulting .. is that our boss travelled for a week before and everything was ok without him .. and that this whole substitute coming thing was communicated to us the day it happened .. we were led to believe we would be free once the boss left when all along they were planning to send a substitute .. ehhh whatever .. now we're not afraid of the substitute boss at all .. but we just resent the fact that they sent a substitute in the first place .. they don't trust us .. anyway whatever it's all good .. i talked to my boss on the phone today .. first time i talk to him in a week .. he was calling to ask me a question not to say hello .. lately i've bee a little paranoid and i started wonder if the substitute is a permanent replacement .. and they're gonna inform us at the last second like they did before .. cuz if that happens then i am so out of there ..
the substitute is called ali .. he is lebanese .. tall .. skinny .. he is nice enough .. but he needs to take it easy just a bit .. i don't know if he is pretending to care so much about work or if he's sincere about it but either way he needs to calm down .. all he ever talks about is work and he tries to seem so concerned .. he's trying so hard to be professional .. it can be annoying ..

hehe this is a little personal but if my real boss and i got into a fight my boss would probably destroy me haha .. but the substitute i would definitely own him .. hehe so i'm a lot bolder around this guy .. i'm not afraid to imply disrespect hehe .. i mean i'm not treating him like shit honestly i've been doing most of the things although i did refuse a few requests hehe .. dereliction of duty .. but it's cool cuz he does some of my work so he helps me out too .. he doesn't just give me shit to do .. actually he does my main task which i get paid to do while i focus on running the place .. so you could say he's handling the macro shit while i take care of the micro shit .. but when a manager comes to our office it's him they go talk to .. would i be a fox and the grapes if i said oh joy good for him he gets to sit with so and so for a few minutes and make casual bullshit talk and pretend to laugh at his jokes .. i guess i would right hehe anyway so that's one thing he's got going for him that i don't .. speaking of managers .. our station manager gave me his number the other day .. doubt i will be ever calling his ass though .. but it was cool that he gave it to me .. cuz that guy almost never talks to newbies like yours truly hehe .. oh well .. ah the world of office politics .. it's a fascinating place ..
