It sure is a pity that the Paleos use their own children to transport weapons, as suicide bombers, etc..

Think they'll ever stop?

Or will their fascnation with death claim them?

Old news:

The year 2004 saw a 64-percent increase in Palestinian minors involved in terrorist activities compared with 2003, a report released Wednesday by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) revealed. The upsurge is not only because minors arouse less suspicion, but also because they are considered easy targets for the organizations seeking to recruit them, the report said.

Summing up the fourth year of fighting in the so-called Aksa Intifada, the report stated that the construction of the security fence has led terrorist organizations – no longer able to infiltrate into Israel with ease – to use minors and women for suicide attacks, "exploiting their innocent appearance," taking advantage of the fact that they are less susceptible to checks by security forces.

"IDF Saves Arab ‘Decoy’ Child" (Nov 26, '04 / 13 Kislev 5765)

Golani soldiers won special recognition for saving an innocent Arab child who was sent to provoke IDF soldiers into shooting him.

The two Golani soldiers recently were manning a check post near Gush Katif when a 10-year-old boy suddenly ran towards them. Despite fears that the child was carrying explosives, the soldiers did not fire.

"The child fell into the arms of one of the soldiers," said the troops’ officer. "He hugged him to make sure he was not carrying a bomb. The child apparently received a few shekels to run towards the soldiers and provoke them into shooting."

The officer awarded the soldiers a special certificate for keeping an "even head" under pressure.

Arab terrorists have sent dozens of children on life-endangering missions, including suicide bombings, and often use children to smuggle explosives and ammunition. Army officials explain that Palestinian Authority incitement in the school system and on television is one of the prime reasons for the increase in the use of children as terrorists.

A senior officer serving near Gush Katif said, "We have pictures of dozens of episodes where children fire rockets. In other instances, we have seen them used as live shields for terrorists."...

The use of a youth, in this case a 16-year-old, is no longer unusual. The organizations know the soldiers aren't as punctilious with children and women as they are with adult men. A child does not even have an ID card, so it is difficult for the soldiers to even identify the child as being the subject of an alert.

There aren't enough women soldiers at the checkpoints to check every woman passing through. That's why more than ten children have been sent through Haware carrying bombs, and since September, the army has arrested 16 Palestinian women, mostly from Nablus, on suspicion that had volunteered to participate in suicide bombings.

The launch of the two boys Monday, one carrying a fake bomb, the other a real one, is evidence of just how far the groups are ready to invest in their efforts to conduct terror attacks. Nearly every day, the Shin Bet and IDF manage to foil attempted suicide attacks, planned in the West Bank with Tel Aviv or Jerusalem as the target.
