so in a few days it is supposed to be announced if petra won or not .. personally i didn't vote .. jordan tv is excited .. they've got a little counter going at the top of their screen .. kind of like future has their hariri counter .. or should i say their "7aqeeqa" counter .. then you have al manar's newsreel which always mentions what day the "opposition rally" has entered .. if your channel is cool then you have a counter .. speaking of counters .. i used to have a counter for my blog but i got rid of it because it dawned on me how insignificant the data i was keeping track of really is .. also on the subject of counters .. kitchens tend to have counters .. god i'm hungry .. but i digress.
so yeah as i was saying i didn't vote .. not once .. i didn't vote for petra or anywhere else .. it's nothing against jordan or petra .. it's just the cause is not so important to me .. i honestly don't care if petra wins or not .. i'm sorry but i don't .. actually i don't care for online polls in general .. you know how every once in a while you'll get an email telling you to visit some page and vote a certain answer .. or even worse .. the petitions .. UGH .. i tend to disregard those emails .. so sorry petra but it's nothing personal i'm just not a fan of online voting .. matter of fact i am trying to remember when i have ever voted for anything in my life .. the only thing that comes to mind is student elections .. and yes ok fine maybe an online poll here or there.
do you think petra will win .. hey diana won superstar right so we know that jordanians are not shy when it comes to sending sms .. speaking of diana have you seen what she looks like lately .. nevermind .. what was i talking about .. oh yeah petra .. i've been seeing a lot of blogs that have a little "vote for petra" button .. mine doesn't have one .. i guess my blog is not cool .. oh well .. even the company that i work for has twice sent us emails telling us to vote .. yeah they are doing this little ad campaign telling people to vote for petra .. what's the slogan again .. bring heritage to life or something like that .. i work for aramex in case you're wondering.
so if they win .. what happens then .. what's going to change .. why is it such a big deal .. oh man but can you imagine the type of celebration the jordanian government will put together if petra wins .. did you see the reception they had for saudi's king abdullah .. goodness .. it was like that scene from aladdin when he comes to town after the genie turned him into "prince ali of bagwa" .. elephants and marching bands and the whole shebang .. the only thing missing was those giant balloons from the macy's parade .. but don't worry he reimbursed them for everything .. with a little cherry on top .. but that's a different story .. so will petra win .. stay tuned.
