i am almost done reading aisha .. just a few pages to go but i don't need to finish it to issue a verdict .. it's nothing special .. typical arab novel by a westernized writer .. tackling the same issues i.e. sexuality, patriarchy, superstition, bla bla .. i mean it is well-written and everything .. but i have read so many similar books before that it just fails to stand out .. although at one point in the novel we witness some lesbian action .. that was the only part i found interesting i guess :)
