i was reading notes from the underground by dostoevsky but i gave up on it .. it's just too deep for me .. i was about thirty or forty pages into it when i finally decided that i was sick of pretending to understand what the guy was talking about so i returned it .. the thing about the book is that it doesn't read like a novel .. it's more like a collection of thoughts .. extremely complex thoughts.
anyway the new book i got is called aisha by ahdaf soueif .. i've heard of the author before but i don't know if she's any good .. we'll see.
