i was hoping to maybe visit beirut this summer .. just for a week .. see the university again .. walk around hamra .. go to the beach .. see my friends .. have some fun .. but things went bad .. bombings .. the palestinian camps drama .. and now today .. another political assassination .. any hope i had of visiting beirut this summer died along with the victims of that latest bombing.
last year around this time .. i was in beirut .. getting ready for the summer semester to begin .. my final semester .. then the war broke out in july .. everyone left but i stayed.
beirut was actually my plan B .. but my plan A was shot down a long time ago .. so anyway it looks like i won't be going anywhere this summer .. work work work .. lovely.
