i listen to my iPod a lot at work .. it is a desk job that requires a lot of computer work and so usually i just put my iPod on shuffle and listen while i work away .. so today i was listening to a song by nirvana .. called dive .. the chorus goes dive, dive, dive, dive with meeeeeee .. he repeats dive with me a lot during the song .. but it sounds like he's saying die instead of dive .. if you were listening and you didn't know the lyrics you would think he was saying die .. is it some sort of subliminal message .. is he telling his listeners to kill themselves .. if you didn't know nirvana's lead singer kurt cobain did end up taking his own life.
it is not an uncommon theme in rock music to sing about suicide and death and angst .. in the 80's there was a song by ozzy osbourne called suicide solution that got him into trouble .. a teen shot himself after listening to it .. and the teen's parents took ozzy to court .. anyway .. i don't know what to make of it .. i just thought it was interesting.
