this is the book i am reading now .. man is it deep .. sometimes you have to read and reread the sentence four or five times just to wrap your mind around it.

i finished reading the lake a few days ago .. it wasn't that bad but overall i have to give it a thumbs down .. what i liked was the way the main character keeps shifting between the present and the past in his mind .. and how all the characters in the story are somehow connected .. but what i didn't like was that the story was kind of pointless .. there was no real plot .. no climax or anything .. when the book ended i found myself asking "that's it?" .. it was basically just a description of the everday life of the main character .. no twists or anything .. just describing his everday life .. also it was more than a little bizarre - the main character comes off as kind of a pervert which was pretty disturbing .. i don't recommend it.
