No One Can Return

While the Prime Minister's Office had no formal reaction to the Arab League's land-and-refugees-for-peace initiative relaunched in Riyadh on Thursday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told The Jerusalem Post there is absolutely no wiggle room on the refugee issue.
Olmert reiterated that Israel would not accept the return to Israel of any refugees. It is "out of the question," he said. "I'll never accept a solution that is based on their return to Israel, any number."

Israeli war minister Amir Peretz has ordered his war generals to resume assassination of Palestinian resistance leaders and fighters, alleging that Israel was worried over the growing military power of Hamas in the tiny Gaza Strip, according to Hebrew sources.
“Israel won’t remain idle towards the growing military force of Hamas and other Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza Strip; we will move against those factions if they keep on shelling Israeli settlements adjacent to the Strip”, Peretz was quoted by the Hebrew radio as saying.
He added, “From now on, the army has a free hand to target Palestinian fighters unleashing missiles at Israeli targets. We will not allow another south Lebanon in Gaza Strip”.
