i've been trying to cross the bridge for the past ten years now .. and every time i've tried the monster has turned me back .. i see other people cross the bridge all the time without any problem .. but each time i try to cross the monster tells me i cannot and that i must go back .. he is a big poweful terrifying creature .. which is why i am always too afraid to stand up to him and instead i just do as he tells me without so much as a word .. until one day i decided i had had enough .. i was sick of being the only one not allowed to cross .. i decided that today i wouldn't obey the monster's orders .. that i would cross even if he told me i couldn't .. i didn't know what he would do and honestly i didn't care .. and so i set out for the bridge .. and sure enough there he was telling me i cannot cross .. but i kept walking .. hey where are you going he shouted .. but i just closed my eyes and kept walking along the bridge .. come back here he shouted .. still i kept walking .. i looked behind me to see if he was following me .. but he wasn't .. he was gone .. and that was when i realized that there was never any monster in the first place.
