Defend The Aqsa

The Palestine Scholars’ League (PSL) has urged Arabs and Muslims to stand up in defense of the Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest Muslim shrine, and to save it from Israeli plans to destroy it.
“We should all defend the Aqsa Mosque even if it takes us to form an army of martyrs from all Palestinian factions to block the Zionists”, read a statement issued Sunday by the PSL.
Furthermore, it called on the International Union of Muslim scholars headed by Sheikh Yousef Qaradawi to carry out their religious duties and to immediately mobilize and encourage the Muslim Ummah to protect the sacred Mosque.
In this context, the league called on Palestinian factions to halt internal fighting, explaining that the internecine clashes serve Israel’s interests and goals, and help it carry out its conspiracies against the Mosque.
It also asserted that the OIC and the Quds Committee should swiftly mobilize and convene an extraordinary session to discuss the dangers engulfing the occupied city of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
Arabs and Muslims must show overwhelming solidarity with the Mosque in order to send a clear message to Israel and its allies that Muslims will never abandon or forget the Aqsa Mosque, and that any harm done to it will result in serious consequences.
