pineapple express stars seth rogen and james franco ... and it's produced by judd apatow who by now i've reviewed several movies for on here (last one was stepbrothers)... so rogen plays a process server ... that's the guy who serves people legal documents like subpoenas ... and franco plays his drug dealer ... and the two get tangled up in a murder that involves two warring drug factions and are basically running for their life throughout most of the movie ... it's a pretty absurd movie to say the least ... i guess you could call it a stoner action comedy ... there's car chases and guns ... there's also the raw style of humor that rogen and apatow have become known for ... and there's weed ... plenty of it ...i have to say i was disappointed ... i was expecting a better movie ... maybe the fact that the copy i watched was terrible quality contributed to this feeling but nonetheless i was disappointed ... i mean as far as rogen's movies are concerned, this was definitely not the best of them ... not in my opinion anyway ... but it's funny and entertaining ... 6/10 ... a good comedy for those who are interested in one ...
