you know how every now and then i used to post a word of the day thing ... well as you may or may not know i didn't make those words up .. i used to get them from a site .. and lately that site is coming up with some lame words .. nothing worthy of this fine blog hehe .. so i tried to do my own word of the day .. this one i actually made up ..

arabish .. the art of typing arabic in english .. hence the name .. arabish ..
ya3ni zai haik .. hada bisammoo arabish ..
in arabish .. numbers can also function as letters .. numbers usually indicate a letter (as well as a sound) that doesn't exist in english .. like 3arabi and 5awaja .. and 7a6a w 3gal .. i'm trying to think of a word that will incorporate as many numbers as possible .. i can't think of anything ..
moving on ..
arabish is usually comprehensible .. although in some cases it can be quite difficult to decipher .. even for a 24 year old arab male who's lived his entire life in the arab world ..

Some ppl, like my sister, write arabish and does not bother with the 7arakat. For example, istead of "bedi" my sister only writes "bdi" :S But even that, with a lot of practice I got to decipher. I can even write it now..yohoo.
