i was talking to my boss and my ex-boss .. my ex-boss is now manager of a different department .. so they were telling me about some guy who works as a sales rep who wants to transfer to our department .. and they told me do you want him .. i was like no ma biddi 3arab .. they said laish .. i told them la2anno il 3arab 3a6leen .. they said 6ab ma inta 3arabi .. i said ma ana 3a6el .. my boss couldn't stop laughing ..
in other news i was driving home from work today and i was listening to the radio .. my ipod died remember .. so this lady calls in and as soon as she was on the air she began to babble about how thrilled she was to finally get on .. and the host was like yes it's all of our listeners dream to get on the air .. and she was like yes but other listeners have other ways to get on i only have one .. so the host was like what ways are those .. and the lady says they can text .. and the host says well why can't you text .. and she said oh dear child i can't read or write .. of course all this is in khaleeji arabic mind you .. and the host was like ohhhh 7abeebti .. it was very awww inspiring .. lame ..

third time's a charm?
so i'm trying to transfer my sponsorship .. this is the third time i try .. i'm still on my previous sponsor (agility logistics) even though i left them more than a year ago now .. first time we tried there was a technical issue .. i didn't have a labor card .. which we solved after some money which i was reimbursed for by my current employer for which i am thankful .. second time apparently there's a rule that you have to complete two years under a sponsor before you can transfer .. as of june 1st i have completed that period .. so now we are trying for a third time .. i handed in my papers yesterday .. my boss is really gonna exert some pressure on personnel to make things happen .. i'm praying it will work this time .. i wanna get an exit / re-entry and travel already!!!!

cannot kill the battery
i think my ipod battery died .. you know normally when the battery runs out you plug it in and it will play dead for a bit .. simply saying please wait very low battery then after a while it lights up and charges normally .. but it's been stuck on the please wait very low battery forever .. almost a day now .. so something tells me everything is not alright .. anyway i've had it for 5 years .. i guess all those years of leaving it in my car to bake under the sun have finally caught up to it .. normally i would be devastated but everything that was on there i have on my laptop .. so i'll just buy a new one .. with more memory this time .. happy trails black ipod .. the only sad thing is it was a graduation gift from my older brother .. oh well ..

i noticed that some of my facebook "friends" have me on maximum privacy settings .. by that i mean if i view their page it's just as if we aren't friends .. i can't see their wall .. photos .. nothing .. but we are "friends" .. it's like hey mo .. your only purpose is to increase my friend count .. that's the extent of our friendship .. like there's this one girl .. but she's engaged now .. so i get it .. but still .. might as well unfriend me .. but it seems to be a trend .. like there's this other girl who now that she's married i can't write on her wall anymore .. i can read it i just can't write on it .. also i can't like anything she posts .. well if that's how it is then when i get married i'm just going to disappear from facebook altogether .. but first i think i'll announce my marriage so everyone can congratulate me .. then i'll disappear ..

cedar rapids
if you like ed helms you will enjoy this movie because he is the lead role .. he plays a wholesome insurance salesman who due to certain events is chosen to represent his company at the cedar rapids convention .. at this convention one insurance company is chosen to win the two diamonds award .. ed's company had won it the past two years and are counting on him to bring it home for a third consecutive time .. lot of pressure .. and so ed goes to the convention and that's where the movie starts .. his experiences at the convention lead him to grow up .. sort of a fish out of water experience so to speak .. the naive small-town boy loses his innocence and realizes that the world is not so pure .. he drinks for the first time .. meets a hooker .. a raunchy salesman who does not share his wholesomeness .. shares his room with a black man .. and so on .. all in all i have to say it was kind of cheesy.. but the acting and the comedy was solid .. recommended for a weekend night movie .. 7/10 ..

so someone stole my door mat .. what the hell man .. it wasn't even a real door mat .. it was more of a bathroom mat .. but it had a cool tri-color design that i liked .. like the tri-color flags .. got it from ikea .. anyway it's gone .. i bought a new one today .. more expensive .. a real door mat .. made of that brown fiber they tend to be made out of .. it doesn't say welcome on it .. they had one that did but i didn't get it .. the one i got has black squiggly lines running around the edge of it .. i got it from saco .. when i was walking to the cashier this lady asked me where i got it .. so i showed her where .. then this other dude walked up to me and asked me about some offer the store was having .. i was like i don't work here dude .. except i said it in arabic .. with a smile .. a fake smile .. what an idiot .. doesn't he know saco employees wear a uniform .. that white and red polo shirt .. also they're ALL filipinos .. stupid ass ..

another michael judge movie .. another light mindless comedy .. jason bateman plays a small business owner who is frustrated with the routine of his life .. his main complaint is that by the time he gets home from work his wife has put the sweatpants on .. meaning no sex .. and to further exacerbate the issue he cannot masturbate in peace because the bathroom shares a wall with the tv .. meanwhile .. he also has to deal with the drama at work .. general mills is offering to buy the company for a hefty sum but first he needs to deal with a potential lawsuit by an employee who suffered a terrible work injury which led to him losing a testicle .. also he has to deal with a pesky suburban neighbor who is always trying to invite him to things ... it's a nice light mindless comedy .. nice movie for unwinding after a long week of work .. also mila kunis is in the movie and she is effing hot .. also ben affleck plays his stoner bartender buddy who helps him with his problems .. and snl's kirsten wiig as his wife .. and jk simmons plays his work associate who hilariously refers to everyone as dinkus ... great ensemble for a mediocre story equals good laughs but nothing memorable .. 6/10 ..

i've been asked to write a thank you note for work .. it's like we have this big project that recently launched and it's still in its early phases but it's going well so far so we're happy .. so they're gonna mention it in our corporate magazine .. yeah we have a corporate magazine lol .. i forget what it's called honestly .. anyway .. so they want to write a thank you note to go with it .. and my boss asked me to write it .. because well i have the best english out of anyone at work .. like i'm in a league of my own .. haha does that sound braggy .. but it's true .. anyway .. so here is the note that i wrote i'm gonna submit it to my boss tomorrow .. what do you think ..

idiocracy
i watched this movie called idiocracy .. it's one of those comedies you should watch when you're high .. because it will be funnier .. it's from mike judge the man behind office space .. though it's not nearly as good .. moving on .. the movie stars luke wilson and maya rudolph as two people who wake up in the future 500 years later due to a botched military experiment .. and what they find is a dystopian world where everyone is extremely dumb .. this is what news looks like .. this is what the president of the united states looks like .. this is what the secretary of education looks like .. and this is the number one movie in theaters .. obviously they are not thrilled about it and would like to return back in time .. which would require a time machine .. so they try to find one .. watch the movie to see what happens ..
do i recommend it .. only for those that are looking for a silly comedy that requires zero thinking .. in which case yes i highly recommend it ..

miller's crossing
i haven't seen a movie in ages ... but seeing as how i am crippled with illness these days i watched one today ... miller's crossing ... it's directed by the coen brothers ... i am a fan of their work ... the big lebowski, fargo, burn after reading ... among others ... anyway ... it was a good movie ... but not my favorite one for them ... basically it's a mafia movie ... so you have a lot of guys walking around wearing trenchcoats and fedoras and leather gloves and carrying tommy guns ... the guy who played keaton in the usual suspects is at the center of the movie ... there is a gang war going on and he is playing both sides ... it can be hard to follow at times but if you can understand what's going on it's quite amusing ... the way he brilliantly manipulates each side ... you never know what he's up to ... also the script is very good ... a lot of witty lines in the movie ... like there was one part where he tells one of the bosses to think about so and so ... and the boss replies by saying you know i don't like to think ... so he says well think about whether you should start ... so i thought that was clever ... anyway ... there is one guy in the movie who plays a very menacing character ... i looked him up and turns out his name is j.e. freeman and he is openly gay ... so he certainly doesn't fit the stereotype ... overall i only recommend it for people who are interested in seeing everything the coen brothers have directed ... such as myself ... otherwise you probably won't like it ... 6/10 ...
