hmm .. well its one of those expressions that ppl say but i have my doubts .. take what doesnt kill me makes me stronger for example .. i would say no .. it should be what doesnt kill you CAN make you stronger .. but thats not always the case ..
but back to this expression ...
i think having something then losing it hurts more then never having it ..

I would say not true.. I don't want to be hurt when losing someone I've loved..

I think it means that one must not miss out on the experience of being in love regardless of its outcome! I agree because I believe that we have only one chance to live and truely experience life and to live is to take chances. One might loose and suffer pain but one will have something to look back at..or at least one can say "been there done that" and not wonder how it might feel. And it is true that what does not kill you makes you stronger..experience is strenght; for instance failing an exam for the first time is nothing like failing an exam for say the fifth time :p

well theres no right and wrong answer .. but i still think having something then losing it is worse .. why because when you never had it then you dont know what you are missing ..

I prefer to be ignorant about that and not be heartbroken..
And I don't want to get the feeling of "been there..Done that"

I guess it makes your life more interesting later on, you know when you tell it to your kids or grand kids. "How I met your mother" story type

Jundi said...

hey dawn .. but if ur telling ur kids the how i met ur mother story then u havent lost now have u .. so im not sure that applies in this case o_0

anyway not sure why im discussing it .. i should just let ppl answer whatever they want :D

No Jundi
in How I met your mother he was telling his kids all the previous failed love stories that he had before he met their mother.

ah u mean the show .. well ok i see ur point .. in that case allow me to rephrase the question .. would u rather never fall in love or fall in love once and get ur heart broken and never fall in love again after that ..

I thought it was true in the very beginning; but having experoenced it, I say it's false.

It hurts to lose the one person you gave your WHOLE heart to; in promises to keep it forever.

*sigh*

I'll be quiet now.

I would choose not to fall in love.
It's too much baggage to carry around.
